Cobweb HDA

Houdini Cobweb HDA - It generates simple cobwebs procedurally based on straight lines and collider geometry.

You can use the Curve SOP with primitive snapping mode to inject straight lines into the generator, or you can also inject straight lines generated from the Connect Adjacent pieces SOP.

You can dive into the asset and modify at your own needs.

Update May 2023 - Tension cobweb HDA

I added a new .hda that will create the branching setup only with all the polylines intersections. This will allow to configure vellum hair and weld constraints easly to simulate tension effect and achieve more realistic results. Check the last video for better understanding.

You can still use the earlier version for hanging only cobwebs. It was even updated with some small fixes, so get the latest version!.
